“Moj dan u Knjaževcu”: Svrljiški Timok

Svrljiški Timok dolazi iz pravca Svrljiga. Jedna je od najživopisnijih reka u Srbiji jer protiče kroz uzanu Svrljišku klisuru. Tok reke iznosi 64 km i spaja se sa Trgoviškim i Belim Timokom.  Pandiralo je izvorište koje se nalazi u selu Periš i iz njega izvire ova reka.

Knjaževac na ovom mestu krase ulice lipe i kestena i nalaze se na levoj i desnoj strani Svrljiškog Timoka. Ove dve gradske aleje presecaju grad i dele ga na gornju i donju čaršiju. U ulici lipa nalazi se objekat Doma kulture. Šetalište je ovde zaista prelepo, imate pogled na sam Svrljiški Timok, na kameni most i druge građevine. Pružiće Vam prijatno mesto za šetnju, a i zelenilo ovog drveća pravi je odmor za oči.

Najbolji način da se uživa u pejzažima Svrljiškog Timoka jeste putovanje vozom od Knjaževca prema Svrljigu i Nišu. Postoji 19 tunela i desetak mostova u klisuri, a prelepi pejzaži, pružiće vam sigurno nezaboravan doživljaj na ovom putovanju. Kroz klisuru prolazi železnička priga Niš-Zaječar-Prahovo i duga je 15 km.

Pored Svrljiškog Timoka pruža se i najlepši deo grada – Stara čaršija.

Svrljig Timok comes from the direction of Svrljig. It is one of the most picturesque rivers in Serbia because it flows through the narrow Svrljiska gorge.  The best way to enjoy the landscapes of Svrljig Timok is to travel by train from Knjaževac to Svrljig and Niš. There are 19 tunnels and a dozen bridges in the gorge, and the beautiful scenery will surely give you an unforgettable experience on this trip. The Niš-Zaječar-Prahovo railway passes through the gorge and is 15 km long.
