Portal Glas Nacije in the series of texts "My day in Knjaževac" will take you to this place to present you the cultural and other sights of the city.

Gurgusovačka tower is a landmark of Knjaževac and a place where various events are held. Among other things, the Youth Culture Festival, which is extremely well attended. Of course, the tower was not preserved in its original form, only part of the wall was preserved and it was converted into a summer stage. This festival is visited every year by over 15,000 people from the country and the region.

Various concerts are held with many musical performers from our domestic and foreign scenes, where you can enjoy the sounds of fun, folk and rock music. A photography exhibition, an art gallery and a music program are featured during the summer, when this festival takes place. Knjaževac can boast of the oldest festival in the Balkans. A competition of young creators in music, poetry, theater and artistic photography is being organized. In recent years, there have been poetry contests in cooperation with Radio Belgrade. The festival lasts for several days, and the leading folklore troupes in the country perform in the final evening.

It used to be a student fair in 1962, in which about 300 students from several towns in the Timočki and Niš regions took part, and today it is one of the biggest cultural events in Serbia!

The patrons of the Festival are the Ministry of Culture and the Municipality of Knjaževac.
