“Dobro došli u Zemun”: Zavetni krst u Zemunu

Na uglu Magistarskog trg i Gospodske ulice u Zemunu nalazi se Zavetni krst. Delo je Lazara Uroševića iz 1863. godine.

On je bio sin istaknutog zemunskog trgovca Miloša Uroševića koji je pomagao ustanak u Srbiji. Njihova kuća nalazila se odmah pored, ali je vremenom otkupila porodica Marković. Danas ima status spomenika kulture.

Ovaj mermerni krst jedan je od simbola grada samim tim što se nalazi na Trgu, i preživeo je sve ratove. Komunisti su ga sklonili u jednom periodu u Nikolajevsku crkvu ali je vraćen 1995. godine i restauriran.
