“Dobro došli u Zemun”: Zemunska pijaca

Na Masarikovom Trgu nalazi se jedna od većih i lepših pijaca u gradu.

Stara pijaca nastala je prema zapisima 1717. godine kada su seljaci iz okolnih zemunskih sela donosi i prodavali svoju robu. Tada je na pijacu dolazila sirotinja jer gospoda nisu odlazila već im je donošeno na kućni prag.

Priča se da je najbolji kupus bio sa Lida, dok su nemački stanovnici prodavali svoje proizvode.

Roba je stizala i drumskim i rečnim putem, i vremenom je ova pijaca poslata prava gradska.

Danas, Zemunska pijaca poznata je naširoko, jer svi znaju da je najukusnija riba ona koju hvataju zemunski alasi. Zbog toga ljudi iz celog grada čekaju vikend i ranom zorom kreću u nabavku. Postoje raznorazne tezge i svašta se može nabaviti, od voća i povrća, suvog mesa, sireva iz svih krajeva, pa do kozmetike i alata. U posebnom delu nalaze se novootvorene pečenjare, kefeterije pa čak i restorani. Pijaca ima i svoj parking tako da nećete gubiti vreme tražeći slobodno mesto.

According to the records, the old market was created in 1717 when peasants from the surrounding villages of Zemun brought and sold their goods. Then the poor came to the market because the gentlemen did not leave, but it was brought to their doorstep.

It is said that the best cabbage was from Lido, while German residents sold their produce.

Goods arrived both by road and by river, and over time this market became a real city market.

Today, the Zemun market is widely known, because everyone knows that the tastiest fish is the one caught by Zemun fishermen. That’s why people from all over the city wait for the weekend and go shopping at dawn. There are various stalls and you can get everything, from fruits and vegetables, cured meats, cheeses from all over the world, to cosmetics and tools. In a separate area, there are newly opened bakeries, cafeterias and even restaurants. The market also has its own parking lot, so you won’t waste time looking for a free space.
