“Dobro došli u Zemun”: Zgrada komande vazduhoplovstva

U serijalu tekstova “Dobro došli u Zemun” koji slede predstavićemo Vam lokacije koje u Zemunu, koje nikoga do sada nisu ostavile ravnodušnim. Ova opština nudi sve što čoveka zanima počevši od istorijskih građevina i ličnosti, noćni život, prelepu arhitekturu, čak i skrivene delove na prvi pogled neistražene, i jednostavno, svoj jedinstveni duh.

Na Avijatičarskom trgu u Zemunu nalazi se ova istorijski jako bitna zgrada za Beograd, a i Srbiju. Ova građevina svojim nastankom 1936. godine smatrana je najlepšom mounentalnom zgradom u našoj zemlji.

Godine 1945. ovde su dolazili vojnici na lekarske preglede, 1957. otvara se muzej u njenom sklopu, Muzej vazduhoplovstva.

Izgradnjom ove čudesne građevine Dragiša Brašovan, njen projektant, imao je viziju da je učini najlepšom i da prikaže narodu u Jugoslaviji i na celom Balkanu šta sve mogu da očekuju u budućnosti.

Na veliku žalost i tragediju naše zemlje, ni ovu građevinu nisu zaobišle bombe. Rano ujutru 5. aprila 1999. godine pogeđen je središnji deo i tom prilikom osim nanete štete bilo je i stradalih.

This municipality offers everything a person is interested in, starting with historical buildings and personalities, nightlife, beautiful architecture, even hidden parts unexplored at first glance, and simply, its unique spirit. On Avijatičarski trg in Zemun there is this historically very important building for Belgrade and Serbia. This building, with its creation in 1936, was considered the most beautiful monumental building in our country. In 1945, soldiers came here for medical examinations, in 1957, a museum was opened within it, the Air Force Museum. By building this marvelous building, Dragiša Brašovan, its designer, had a vision to make it the most beautiful and to show the people of Yugoslavia and the entire Balkans what they can expect in the future. To the great regret and tragedy of our country, the bombs did not bypass this building either. Early in the morning on April 5, 1999, the central part was hit and on that occasion, in addition to the damage caused, there were also casualties.
