“Moje putovanje kroz Novi Beograd”: Bežanijski blokovi

Bežanijski blokovi, nekadašnja Kozara, su zapadni deo Novog Beograda. Ova grupacija (Blok 61, 62, 63 i 64) nastala je ’70 godina na području nekadašnje opštine Bežanija, gde su se nalazile porodične kuće i imanja, močvare i poljoprivredna zamljišta. Dele se na južne i severne, između kojih se nalaze parkovi.

Sve do 1918. godine ova teritorija pripadala je Austrougarskoj, ali je nakon rata pripojena Kraljevini SHS. Nekadašnji direktor Urbanističkog zavoda, Josip Svoboda, osmislio je ovaj deo Novog Beograda čije zgrade formiraju oblik stepeništa.

U blizini Blokova nalazi se stara Crkva Svetog Georgija, nekadašnja izuzetno značajna firma IMT, Ledena dvorana Pingvin. Ova arhitektura privukla je umetnike, filmske režisere, muzičke zvezde koje i danas snimaju spotove za pesme.

Tokom ’90 godina u ovom delu Novog Beograda postojale su kriminalne grupe o kojima je snimljen film ,,Vidimo se u čitulji” koji je ostavio veliki uticaj na društvo.

The Bežani blocks, formerly Kozara, are the western part of New Belgrade. This grouping (Block 61, 62, 63 and 64) was created in the 1970s in the area of ​​the former municipality of Bežanija, where there were family houses and estates, marshes and agricultural lands. They are divided into southern and northern, between which there are parks. Until 1918, this territory belonged to Austria-Hungary, but after the war it was annexed to the Kingdom of SHS. The former director of the Urban Institute, Josip Svoboda, designed this part of New Belgrade, whose buildings form a staircase. Near the Blocks is the old Church of St. George, the former extremely important company IMT, the Penguin Ice Hall. This architecture attracted artists, film directors, music stars who still shoot music videos today. During the 1990s, there were criminal groups in this part of New Belgrade, about which the film “See you in the obituary” was filmed, which left a great impact on society.
