An immovable cultural asset is treated as a cultural monument. In this place, the original church that was built in 1733 was built of poor material, it was consecrated only in 1753 and existed until 1823. With the contribution of the locals, a new church was built, which is still on the site today. The Russian painter Andrej Bicenko also participated in the restoration of the church in 1938, when the new iconostasis was created thanks to him. The iconostasis of the original church was transferred to Kupinovo. This church gathers a large number of believers because with the construction of New Belgrade, specifically Blocks and new buildings in Stara Bežania, a large number of Orthodox people who help preserve the sanctuary have been settled.
