“Moje putovanje kroz Novi Beograd”: Crkva Svetog Vasilija Ostroškog

Na Bežanijskoj kosi, na Novom Beogradu, nalazi se Hram Svetog Vasilija Ostroškog. Gradnja ove crkve započeta je 1996. godine i to je prva svetinja podignuta na teritoriji opštine Novi Beograd posle II svetskog rata.

Voljom pravoslavnog naroda skupljeni su prilozi i u znak poštovanja prema Vasiliju Ostroškom podignuta je na ovom mestu.

Ovaj hram je projektovao, po uzoru na stare neimare, čuveni srpski arhitekta i univerzitetski profesor Mihajlo Mitrović koji je bio stipendista Ujedinjenih nacija u Danskoj i Francuskoj, i veoma uvažen u celom svetu.

On the Bežanijska Kosa, in New Belgrade, there is the Church of St. Vasilij Ostroški. The construction of this church began in 1996, and it was the first church built on the territory of the municipality of Novi Beograd after World War II. Contributions were collected by the will of the Orthodox people and as a sign of respect for Vasilij Ostroški, it was erected in this place. This temple was designed, modeled on old buildings, by the famous Serbian architect and university professor Mihajlo Mitrović, who was a scholarship holder of the United Nations in Denmark and France, and highly respected all over the world.
