“Moje putovanje kroz Novi Beograd”: Hala sportova Ranko Žeravica

Serijal tekstova nastavljamo sa novobeogradskom Halom sportova Ranko Žeravica. Ova hala je najstariji sportski objekat na opštini Novi Beograd, izgrađena davne 1968. godine. Namenjena je za više sportova ali je u njoj održan i veliki broj fenomenalnih koncerata koji će ostati u sećanjima mnogih generacija. Dvorana prima do 5.000 posetilaca kada je sportski događaj, i do 7.000 kada je u pitanju muzička manifestacija.

Ova legendarna hala u periodu od kraja ’70 do ranih ’90 ostala je u sećanjima navijača KK Partizan i o tome je pisano u mnogim evropskim i svetskim medijima. U njoj su u nekom periodu igrali i košarkaši Crvene Zvezde, OKK Beograda kao i još nekih beogradskim klubova. Ime koje nosi i danas dobila je 2016. godine po čuvenom košarkaškom treneru Ranku Žeravici.

Što se tiče muzičkih događaja u ovoj dvorani pamtiće se da su ljudi iz regiona i iz celog sveta dolazili da slušaju velike domaće i svetske zvezde, kao štosu: Riblja Čorba, Bajaga i instruktori, Motorhead, Darko Rundek, Public Enemy, Manu Chao i mnogi drugi.

U sklopu hale nalaze se i sale koje koriste klubovi borilačkih veština, teretana kao i ugostiteljski objekti.
