Sredinom devedesetih godina, u novobeogradski Blok 70, počinju da se doseljavaju prvi državljani Kine i oni otvaraju u starom Enjubu lokale sa robom iz svoje zemlje. Zbog teškog finansijskog stanja u društvu munjevito razvijaju biznis obzirom na veoma pristupačne cene proizvoda. Što bi se u narodu reklo kod njih su kupci mogli da pazare gotovo sve, od igle do lokomotive.
Tako je i danas, sa tim što su vremenom Kinezi proširili svoje poslovanje u novom, dosta modernijem tržnom centru koji se nalazi odmah uz stari. Ljudi iz celog regiona dolaze da pazare, od garderobe, alata, igračaka, tehnike pa do sitnica za svoje domove. Kod nas se kaže, ako ne možeš da nađeš nešto sigurno ćeš pronaći u kineskoj četvrti.
Ono što je takođe primamljivo u ovom centru je što i gurmani mogu da isprobaju njihovu tradicionalnu kuhinju, kao i da kupe začine koje uvoze na tone.
Veliki požar u avgustu 2021. godine zahvatio je preko 200 lokala na oko 4.000 kvadratnih metara starog tržnog centra, i gašenje požara trajalo je nekoliko sati. U toj akciji učestvovalo je više od 120 vatrogasaca sa oko 50 vozila. Narednih nekoliko dana dežurali su kako bi bili sigurni da je požar u potpunosti ugašen.
Uveliko traju radovi na novom tržnom centru koji će biti sagrađen po najsavremenijim standardima, u ulici Mileve Marić Ajnštajn, na svega nekoliko kilometara od sadašnjih lokala u Bloku 70.

In the mid-1990s, the first Chinese citizens began to move into Block 70 in New Belgrade, and they opened shops with goods from their country in the old Enjubu. Due to the difficult financial situation in the society, they are developing their business rapidly considering the very affordable prices of the products. What people would say is that customers could buy almost anything from them, from needles to locomotives. It is still the same today, with the fact that over time the Chinese have expanded their business in a new, much more modern shopping center located right next to the old one. People from all over the region come to shop, from clothes, tools, toys, appliances to small things for their homes. We say, if you can’t find something, you will surely find it in Chinatown. What’s also enticing about this center is that even foodies can try their traditional cuisine as well as buy the spices they import by the tons. A big fire in August 2021 engulfed over 200 shops on about 4,000 square meters of the old shopping center, and it took several hours to put out the fire. More than 120 firefighters with about 50 vehicles participated in that action. They were on duty for the next few days to make sure the fire was completely extinguished. Work is well underway on the new shopping center, which will be built according to the most modern standards, in Mileve Marić Einstein Street, just a few kilometers from the current premises in Block 70.
